Our Sweetest Yellow Lab

Hello, my name is Cindy. My husband, Dave, and I had the pleasure and honor of having Lily in our lives for many wonderful years. Lily was the sweetest yellow lab, who blessed our family with love, fun, and cuddles. She is dearly missed but would be so happy to know she is providing love and support to others through Lily's Angels. For her entire 15 years of life, she loved to make snow angels, and now we know why, Lily shared love with everyone she met and it's that love that she will be remembered by.

Lily was trained from a young age to be a waterfowl retriever, and she excelled at that skill. In October 2011, Lily was even featured on the front page of our local newspaper. The newspaper writer, Sam Cook, joined Dave and Lily during a hunting trip to North Dakota. Sam was impressed with young Lily who was only 1 1⁄2 years old at the time. Sam had predicted "she's going to be a good one", and she WAS! Lily loved her family and the water. She would swim, retrieve, then float for hours. She also loved her pontoon rides with her ears flowing back in the breeze. She had hours of fun at the lake with her sister Daisy.

Her nicknames were numerous: Lily Jean, Sweet Lily, Miss Lil, Uncle Lil, Lilykins, Lilykinsiker, the Kinsiker, sweetest of all the Kinsikers, and Corn Cob Girl (IYKYK). Her nicknames were many because she had so much personality and was loved by all. Lily, we thank you for being the sweetest girl ever, and we miss you and hope you are happy hunting and swimming with your best buddy, Dave.
